I just received a postcard thanking me for knitting KKs. I don’t remember how I learned about KKs but over the years I have enjoyed knitting many pairs. The really fun part in knitting KKs is to tell whoever asks me what I am making what I am making. Believe me, the responses are varied! I not only knit the KKs, I wear one! My mastectomy was done by a surgeon in Las Vegas who had performed many surgical removals of mesh so often used for hernia repairs. In his office I noticed he had many jars containing the various meshes he had removed on display. After my successful mastectomy I sent him a KK in a jar to add to his display case! Though breast cancer is no laughing matter, sometimes you just got to take things lightly. I thank God breast cancer is not necessarily a death sentence.

I received my knocker, and can’t express how happy I am with it.. it is light and very comfortable to wear, I was given a temporary one and it was shaped like a football, and fitted like one, but the knitted knocker is the perfect shape and size..
I’m so grateful to have found this group. I received my knockers in the mail today. I can’t wait to try them! I am so healing from explant surgery. But I am so looking forward to trying them. With deep gratitude.

Thank you so VERY much for sending me the knockers. I’ve bought all kinds of prosthetics and they’re all too heavy, but these are perfect. And I can’t believe how quickly they got here! It’s so incredibly gracious of you ladies to do this for us!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
