I work as a Patient Navigator with women going through treatment for breast cancer. I am thrilled to know about this option for patients. I am requesting just one,”Knocker” for education purposes for patients, so I would be greateful with any size or color you send. Thank you.
These are so wonderful and after reading so many testimonials I would love a pair. I hate my silicone pair (too hot and heavy) and my foamies are losing their shape. Thank you so much for what you are doing to make us feel so special and embrace our new normal!
Thank you so much for all you do, I received mine in the mail today! Made me cry tears of joy that there are really still some caring people left in this world, the card is what got me! THANK YOU !
I heard about your organization in December while watching an Orlando, Fl news station. My husband’s nephew’s wife had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. I went to my local yarn shop, purchased the yarn and made her pair. I’ve been telling friends about your project and several have started making knockers. So far I’ve made 3 pairs, purchased more yarn today so I can make more. One of the ladies just couldn’t stop crying when I gave her a pair.
This is a wonderful project. Thank you for being there. I’ll keep knitting and telling ladies about you.
Got my knocker today! Not even a week after I made the request. Your organization is the best. I’ve passed this good news to a friend that knits for the needy with her friends and she was thrilled too. Looks like you have another chapter. Thanks again.
I know this may sound dramatic, but receiving my knockers has truly changed my life. My original reconstruction failed and I am now “deconstructed”. I have so much nerve damage that wearing a regular bra was out of the question , so I rarely left the house.
My shape has also changed dramatically and I needed a round knocker on one side and a regular one on the other…… someone knitted a custom pair for me in 2 different bright and beautiful jewel tones. I love them!!!!
I slip my knockers right into a sports bra…. they are light and soft and comfortable and I feel beautiful in them. My husband actually cried the first time I came out wearing them. Even my oncologist has noticed a difference. I’m happy and active and smile a lot more.
I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t found you angels on earth. Keep doing what you’re doing because you impact more lives than you know. Anne. Date 11/23/14
Although I’m getting fitted for prosthetics today, the knitted knockers that I received prior to my surgery on 10/06/14 have been a Godsend. So soft and comfortable. Thank you Pat and thank you Knitted Knockers for being there.
My knitted knocker was a godsend, when, just 3 weeks post surgery, I went on holiday & needed something light, soft and comfy to fill my bikini with!! I would like to thank Barbara J from Aberyswyth for taking the time and trouble to knit my knockers for me- they will always remain close to my heart!
I’m just two weeks past surgery for a bi-lateral mastectomy. A friend stopped by yesterday to tell me about your knitted knockers….since we live in Florida and it gets HOT, silicone would be torture. Your cotton product sounds so wonderful.
I had a double mastectomy on 12-14-2011 and have not been able to find comfortable prosthetics. I am truly excited with the possibility of these working in a “regular bra.”
