I had my first breast cancer in 2002 I went for a long time just using my bra to go on hold everything in but everything popped out. I had my second breast cancer in 2015 and found out I had the mutation so I went with a bilateral mastectomy. At that time a friend of mine husband saw a commercial for knitted knockers, and I ordered some I had been wearing the very expensive ones I got from the dealers I put on my first pair, and I have never worn anything else since then.
After having my long term post-mastectomy implant collapse, I did not want to replace it. While I considered getting a prosthesis, I found about Knitted Knockers. They are terrific. Comfortable, easy to wear, and require nothing extra to contain them. Thank you to all the founders, volunteers, and donors for this simple and free solution. You have my immense gratitude!
I just received the knocker and was surprised at how comfortable it is.
God bless you.
Received my knocker after my 4th surgery. this was a sign that I`m on my way to recovery. When I use it and go out I feel like a whole person. I can not thank you enough for taking the time out of your day to make such a difference in my life. God Bless you all. Received mine from my Dr’s office in Princeton NJ.
I recently received two pairs (swim & regular) knitted knockers. They will do so much to help me feel better after my surgery (scheduled for June 17th, 2025)
Received my package today, thanks so much, I will surely use them.
I just received these and they are better for me than the money I spent trying to find the right ones at different stores. I’m going to try to teach myself to make these. They are great! Thank you to all the makers! Such a great organization. ❤️
I received my knocker today along with a beautiful card from Judi who knitted it for me. As I’m only a few weeks post mastectomy, I’m still a bit emotional at times and I have to admit it made me shed a few tears. It’s lovely and soft and I’m about to start radiotherapy so I’m sure it will be comfortable after that. To think there are wonderful people out there who care for others makes me so happy. Thank you so much.
Hello,
I’m a cancer survivor and a Nurse Navigator – Breast Oncology. I ordered knitted knockers for my own personal use and I must say they are so comfortable! I appreciate the love, dedication and hard work it takes to make the knitted prosthetics. It is a great alternative to the heavy breast prosthetics.
Sincerely,
Gloria T.
I am a 3 year survivor. I ordered a knitted knocker after my scar had healed. Insurance got me the other prosthetics but this one is by far my favorite. It is lightweight and doesn’t shift when in place. Thank you so much for this little thing that makes my life more comfortable. I forget I am wearing it and that is the point!
