I had a modified radical mastectomy thirteen years ago. I have a prosthetic, but it is heavy and bulky. I have not been able to wear the cute summer tops and dresses. My sister seen the website and video on Facebook. I printed the pattern off the website and my sister crocheted one for me. I had to share my story. The knocker has given me a freedom I have not had in thirteen years. I can now wear the strappy bras and cute summer string tops and I am so happy. The crocheted knocker is so soft and light. It is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing the pattern. It has changed my life. Thank you!
I received my Knitted Knockers within 2 weeks. Holy cow! These things are great. Very soft, not hot or sticky against my skin. They look natural under my clothes.
I had a bilateral mastectomy Feb 2016. I planned to have no reconstruction. I have big tummy, so my flatness is particularly noticeable. I thought I would be okay with this, wearing scarves and jackets to cover up.
The very day I received my Knockers, I put then inside my soft bra and I was so surprised at my reaction. I looked balanced, and dare I say, beautiful. These knockers have restored my self-confidence in a way that I did not anticipate. In fact, now I am taking a second look at reconstruction because the knockers make me feel so much more feminine.

I received my knitted knocker yesterday, kindly made by Joanne. I am looking forward to using it as the quality is great and after trying it out yesterday it feels so comfortable to wear. I just heard about the knockers you are making for women like me. I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor. It has been a rough journey for me, my mother passed away March 2013 & in June 2013 I found out I had breast cancer. My prosthesis drives me crazy, it’s too heavy & very uncomfortable to wear. When I don’t wear it, I feel embarrassed to go outside, I’m afraid someone will notice. I can’t wait to get my knocker, I am looking forward to wear it. I would like to thank all of you wonderful ladies for putting your love into making these, it is very special to so many women. God bless you all!!!!
Just received my knitted knockers today and immediately pulled out my new coobie bras. I felted as though my prayers had been answered. No more uncomfortable bras and no more suffering through the heaviest of silicone. A heartfelt thank you to all your volunteers that help B/C women on their long journey.
Thank you so much for creating “Knitted Knockers”! I love it so much. They are so comfortable and now I can wear normal clothes and no one knows I only have one breast.
