This is a list of registered knitters/groups knitting or crocheting knockers that have indicated they welcome help from local volunteers. Groups listed may or may not be involved in direct distribution of knockers. Some have agreed to be a local collection point for the knockers you make and others meet together on a regular basis. Each group is independent in the way they work. You may be asked to register with us before helping. When providing knockers locally please include your contact information and the name of the approved yarn used.
Do not use this directory to order knockers or request information about receiving knockers. You can order a pair of knitted knockers for personal use at https://www.knittedknockers.org/request-a-knocker/. If you are a medical clinic please visit https://www.knittedknockers.org/medical-providers-information/ for more information on how we can partner with you to provide free knitted knockers to your patients.

I personally fill an average of 80 orders a month that come in to knittedknockers.org from the women of Illinois and beyond. Having helpers who also knit or crochet Knitted Knockers would be terrific. This would also reduce the cost for the Knitted Knocker foundation as they send me unstuffed KK’s at no charge and I would not need to order them as often. TaruVedas embodies "Eternal Threads of Love Woven with Hope." The name itself carries deep meaning - Taru means tree, symbolizing growth, life, strength, and a connection to nature, while Vedas refers to wisdom and knowledge, reflecting holistic insights about life, well-being, and harmony. At TaruVedas, our mission is to offer hope, healing, and positivity to those in need, inspired by the nurturing qualities of a tree.
Hi everyone, I am Arti Mehta, a breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed in March 2024, my journey introduced me to the concept of Knitted Knockers. Having traveled this path, I truly understand how important these knitted knockers are for women navigating similar experiences. This understanding gave birth to TaruVedas. Until you've walked the same path, it’s hard to fully realize what another person is going through.
At TaruVedas, we are dedicated to supporting breast cancer survivors in India by providing soft, comfortable, and handmade knitted knockers free of charge. Our mission is to help women regain their confidence and comfort after lumpectomy or mastectomy surgeries.
We are based in Gurgaon, Haryana, India, and we are committed to ensuring that every woman in need has access to these beautiful alternatives to traditional prosthetics. Each knocker is crafted with love and care, keeping in mind the unique needs of every recipient.
How to Request Knockers: If you would like to request knitted knockers, you can reach out to us at taruvedasknittedknockers@gmail.com. Let us know your size, preferences, or any special needs, and we will be happy to assist you.
Note: We are also looking for fellow knitters and crocheters to join us in this meaningful initiative. Whether you are an experienced crafter or just starting out, we warmly welcome you to contribute to this noble cause.
Much Love,
The TaruVedas Team

We are a small group of knitters (crocheters by request) from all over the central PA area. We work out of our homes, but closely with our local hospital (UPMC Harrisburg) and are supported by our hospital auxiliary, Pinnacle Health Auxiliary. We support five (5) UPMC breast care/cancer centers in the area, so we need as many knitters as we can get! And, if you don’t knit, we still can use your help to stuff our completed knockers. I live close to the two main centers, so can deliver most of the knockers, but if others live close to the other centers, your help with deliveries there would be much appreciated. If we have a surplus of knockers, we would be glad to share with other locations outside of our system. You can contact me for questions and information.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a bilateral mastectomy in March 2025. I opted for implant reconstruction, but having been through this I would love to give back to those choosing to go flat. I am an avid knitter and crocheter and this is a great way to spend time while recovering from surgeries, sitting outside enjoying the sunshine or even traveling because it’s so easily portable. I would love to connect with KK knitters/crocheters in my area. At this point, I can knit knockers and send them to KK for order fulfillment.

Twin Girls (Knitted Knockers Belize) is a group of dedicated knitters and crocheters who delights in making these light, comfortable, colourful, confidence building breast forms for women with mastectomies. Our tropical climate makes the traditional silicone breast prostheses hot, sticky, and unpleasant. Consequently many women go without, choosing comfort over looks. With Knitted knockers cancer survivors can have both comfort and looks. Twin Girls is actively in search of volunteers. We hope to have active and functional outlets in all six districts of our country to aid in the making and free distribution of these handmade products. We encourage our target population and the care team to reach out, so we can get these wonderfully made prosthesis in your hands. Our WhatsApp contact is 501.631.5540. Currently we are based in Santa Elena, Cayo. The Santa Elena Library is our operative base. We welcome partnerships in our quest to supply these comfortable confidence building breast forms to our Belizean women in need. At this time Twin Girls are not accepting cash donations, however we need and appreciate help with materials used for making these breast forms. If you would like to contribute to this cause by volunteering please contact Twin Girls at - twingirls.knittedknockersbelize@gmail.com, if you care to gift us materials to make, label, and package the breast prosthesis please log on to our Amazon registry at Knitted Knockers Belize or the link here - https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/25W32772LDPBW. Thank you for your support in making Belize’s breast cancer survivors live more comfortable and confident lives.

I started making knockers while living in CO and joined the State Providers list to fill requests made to the website. I moved to MA and now am working with a small clinic locally and continuing to fill requests with the State program. If you live in the MA South Shore area and need knockers, I am happy to deliver locally! If you would like to contribute knockers to MA individuals, I am happy to take what you make and do the stuffing, delivery, shipping. Please contact me if you are interested!

I partner with my mom, Kathy Bell, we are state suppliers for Oregon, New York, and Texas. On average my group, Knockers Away, sends out 150 pairs of knockers to patients and 18 clinics nationwide a month. Our group has been blessed by the Ladies of the Elks of Florence. They have selected us as one of their continuous projects, and supply us with grants to help pay for supplies, and shipping.
The knitters that live close to me or mom have worked a drop off or pick up when we are close, or traveling past each other. The other knitters that are long distance usually mail them to us.

Each month our group sends out 100-150 pairs of knockers. Mom started this adventure when she lost 2 friends to breast cancer. We knit today in memory of them, and others that have fought this fight. It takes a warrior to take on this battle. Most of us in this group don't live close, but I get packages in the mail from other knitters, and then mom and I will stuff them and ship them out to new forever homes. And I make a tulle gift bag for all of the knockers to go in, so the recipient feels like they are getting a gift. We always welcome new knitters or crocheters, we will even supply the yarn, so we know that we are sending out the correct ones for the ladies receiving these. 😉
