Thank you all! I can’t explain how wonderful these are I just ordered my second pair and also just made a donation! I made two year breast cancer survivor I got a life-threatening infection during my double Mastectomy which led both expanders to react with a severe infection had to have them both removed I am no longer allowed to have any reconstructive surgery so these are a fantastic alternative! I have been purchasing prosthesis for us for the past two years at $1500 a year they break down and much heavier these are a much better alternative feel lighter and look more perky! I’m so happy Someone introduced me to this site I want to thank you all and I can’t THANK YOU enough!
Thank you so much for returning my self esteem. I have made a small donation today, and will make more in the future. Its good to know that the world still has good people focused on helping one another. God Bless everyone associated with Knitted Knockers
I can’t express enough how thankful I am for this wonderful gift!!! Every time I looked in the mirror and see my scars and the damage cancer has left my body I was becoming disappointed and sad. Your wonderful talents made me look normal while I wait for the next step in my reconstruction. May you be blessed to help those who have been fighting breast cancer.
I received my pair of knitted knockers this week and I am absolutely thrilled with them. They are so much lighter than my heavy prothesis and I feel so much more normal wearing them. I would like to say a big thank you to Julie from Southport who knitted them for me. Your kindness and excellent knitting has made my day x
I received my knitted knockers today and they are perfect. They are very soft and comfortable. They came in a beautiful bag with the nicest note from Linda. They are exactly as I ordered, size and color. You ladies are amazing and I hope you know how much these mean to me and I’m sure everyone who had dealt with breast cancer and has had a lumpectomy or a mastectomy like myself. Thank you all for your care, support and kindness 💖
I was overwhelmed with emotions when my knitted knocker arrived the other day. Made with love by a wonderful knitter in AL named Jane. She enclosed a beautiful hand written note that brought tears to my eyes. I could tell by her words of encouragement and prayer that Jane loves knitting and helping women like me. The knitted knocker is so soft and I know it will help me in the time I have to wait for reconstruction surgery after my mastectomy. Thank you so much for this wonderful organization of ladies who are bringing smiles and comfort to women everywhere! XO
I would like to thank Tee for my knocker. I am a small woman but I needed a size H knocker. She made me one and I am attempting to find her to thank her. My back is bad from wearing my heavy prosthesis all day all the time. I have made a donation in Carol’s name for telling me about knitted knockers. I plan to donate again. Thank you Tee for knitting for me.
My knitted knockers came right before Christmas from a knitter in Asheville. They are wonderful! It had been 5 years since by bi-lateral mastectomy and I thought I had dealt with not having breasts anymore. I can’t believe the self-confidence wearing them has given me. I stand up straighter and feel so much better about my body. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteer knitters out there who do this for us. You are heroes!
My knitted knocker has arrived with love from Wilma. I cannot express how I feel about this kindness. My feelings for the old heavy chicken fillet were all about loss and grief. My knitted knocker fills me with warmth as someone who will never know me has made this for me. I feel loved and cared for and it has bought tears of joy to me – I will never be able to thank you enough Wilma. XX
Never heard of your group. Carol D made me two knockers and I was floored. I had a mastectomy and could not have reconstruction. I am a small woman but my breast size kept growing. Although I wear a size 8, my breast went to 34H or 36G. The weight of my prosthetic is so heavy that my back is awful. I sit at a computer all day. The knitted knocker is a godsend. I am making a donation and ordering one in my size. Thank you to Carol for knitting me one.
