I requested a knitted and an aqua knocker, the orders were combined so that they’d both be knitted by the same person – and they arrived together within just one week!
I’ve had and used them for a few weeks now – I’m still having treatment so not allowed to swim, but have been able to gently exercise using the aqua knocker.
These are super-comfy, and are quick and easy to insert with minimal adjusting required – and look so natural, I find myself trying to adjust my remaining boob alongside my knitted one 🙂
I ordered these for my daughter who had a double Masectomy, they came in 3 days, there pink, beautifully packaged, and she called me when she got home and said there perfect, she loves them, Thank you so much, your all a Godsend, lotsa of love 😘
I received my knitted knockers today and want to thank Nancy F for this wonderful gift. I try very hard to stand strong for my family and not show how hard emotionally this surgery has been for my self esteem. This gift is another wonderful testimonial to how women band together to help each other. Nancy, your card did bring a smile and I’m sending a heartfelt thank you for the time you put into doing something for a complete stranger. You don’t know how much this means to me-I’m getting part of myself back and they are a lot lighter than the original ones. 🙂 Sincerely, Lois
Thank you my knocker arrived today back to normal special thanks to Alison who made it with such care back to normal again.
with love and thanks Jill
I have just received my knitted knockers today, I am overwhelmed with the kindness of the wonderful lady Margaret G, who took and time, care and love to make them for me, I will wear with pride after my mastectomy knowing they were made with love and hope . Thank you seems inadequate for your gift as it means so much to me.
Much love and thanks to you Margaret G 😊❤️
I received my knitted knocker yesterday, only a few days after requesting one and I am delighted. It is so soft and perfect. I will have to remove a bit of the filling as my mastectomy scar is still quite swollen but I’ll be able to readjust when the swelling goes down. It arrived beautifully wrapped in pink tissue, with a lovely card and message along with a gorgeous crocheted keepsake. Thank you Elizabeth, who made and sent my knocker and to Knitted Knockers for their kindness and generosity.
I received two knitted knockers and am grateful for the work these knitters do. I ordered size B and received a pink one and a beige one, each a different size. They are shaped like a soft ball – very round. Mine were unfinished in the back and this worked well for me because I took some stuffing out of the larger one and I was able to shape each of the forms into something that fit me. These do tend to move around inside the bra (they want to crawl up your neck) so I use double sided tape to secure mine into place. I like that they are light weight and breathable – not like the heavy, sweaty plastic one I had before. Thank you ladies!
I ordered early as I was scared of going back to work after a bilateral mastectomy and the order form said up to 4 weeks. I haven’t had my mastectomy yet (will happen in 1 week) but the relief I felt when I opened my mail box and found these today brought tears to my eyes…
I knit and once I get on the road to recovery and the stress has lessened somewhat, I’ll be making more – for me and to donate to give that feeling of relief/comfort to another woman who needs it.
Thank you so much Knitted Knockers and Phyllis.
I have received my beautiful pair of knitted knockers that we’re lovingly knitted by Shirley. They are so beautifully knit and very soft. I love them. Since I don’t know Shirley’s last name, thank you to all the volunteers who contribute their time and talents to help women who are trying to return to a life of normalcy following such a devastating diagnosis. Long before I requested them, I learned about knitted knockers in the course of doing research on my own breast cancer. Barbara’s story was so inspiring to me. Right then and there, I decided that I would try to make my own contribution to this worthy cause. I can crochet them easily, but I want to learn how to knit them also. I have shown them to my radiation oncology nurse. She did not know about them. I left one with her to show her other patients.
Thank you so much for my knitted knockers -only received this morning but I have already tried out the aqua one and felt much more confident in my costume! Just put the normal one in and it feels so light and soft – having had 631g removed in a major excision I have struggled with the weight and heat of a silicone prosthesis. Special thank you to Kirsty for her efforts!
