The Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) is located where you find Six Flags Magic Mountain in northern Los Angeles County. Although Santa Clarita has many services available to breast cancer survivors, there was no one locally making and providing Knitted Knockers! Shocked and surprised to find such a huge gap in options, Santa Clarita Valley Knitted Knockers was created to fill the void and give SCV breast cancer survivors a readily available, free alternative to regular, heavy prosthetics.
We are partnering with local yarn shops, hospitals, clinics and oncologists to get the word out about Knitted Knockers, but we need the help of our local knit and crochet community to create the much needed and desired, light-weight, soft and squishy Knockers! Santa Clarita Valley Knitted Knockers will teach you how to make Knitted Knockers using the approved yarns and patterns. Please contact us for more information on meeting times and locations, and come join our happy Knocker-making family!
If you aren’t really into knitting or crocheting, we can still use your help! Contact Santa Clarita Valley Knitted Knockers to find out how. And of course, donations are always greatly appreciated!
Lastly, but most importantly, if you would like a Knitted Knocker or two of your own, please contact us! YOU are why we are making this wonderful product, and we want to help you look and feel as beautiful as we know you already are!
Contact Santa Clarita Valley Knitted Knockers today at SCVKnittedKnockers@Gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

I am also a state supplier and fill orders that come in to the national foundation for the state of Florida. Our group of local knitters and crocheters is growing. Do you knit or crochet? Do you want to get involved or donate to the cause? We welcome you to join our group – the address above is Knitted Knockers of Tampa Bay’s local drop off location. We accept completed knockers (stuffed or unstuffed to save on cost) made only from the approved yarn listing on the website. Please contact me with your questions or for more information.

Started in May 2016 this group of approx. 54 knitters is located from Palmetto to Bradenton to Sarasota and Venice. We always welcome more knitters and prospective recipients. We do not mail the prostheses as we prefer to fit them directly to a recipient's bra to make sure of a perfect fit, especially when matching a remaining breast.
You can find us on Facebook: Knocker Knitters on the Florida Suncoast
We knit and donate breast prostheses every 4th Friday at 1050 S. Tuttle Building #1, Sarasota, FL from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Please, bring a bra for fitting. Knitted Knockers are delivered in large batches to hospitals, clinics, and private practices in beautifully decorated floral storage boxes. Breast Health Navigators who work directly with new patients will assist in select the best fitting one(s) and place it in the take home bag as a comfort items during their recovery. Other times radiologists who are performing routine mammograms on a previous mastectomy patients will let them know about Knitted Knockers and will work with that person to find the best fitting one (s) as an alternative. Each hospital has a different process to ensure that a Knitted Knocker is provided it to anyone who needs it.
We are so pleased to say that currently 90% of the Knitted Knockers that we provide to the hospitals are created by our local Senior Center Knitting Group!! These ladies are amazing and do so much for our community.

I am a cancer survivor of almost 3 years. I went to University of Michigan for treatment. My youngest son will be studying his fellow ship for pediatric oncologist there. I found Barbs knitted knockers online and was delighted to receive my free pair. I also printed the pattern which she provides and have made a few, but I need helping hands. If you are willing to donate some hours and make some I want to provide some to the Cancer center at U of M. The Oncologists are very excited to give the knockers to women who need them after masectomies. They are so comfortable and light to wear. There is also a pattern online to crochet them.
