The Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) is located where you find Six Flags Magic Mountain in northern Los Angeles County. Although Santa Clarita has many services available to breast cancer survivors, there was no one locally making and providing Knitted Knockers! Shocked and surprised to find such a huge gap in options, Santa Clarita Valley Knitted Knockers was created to fill the void and give SCV breast cancer survivors a readily available, free alternative to regular, heavy prosthetics.

We are partnering with local yarn shops, hospitals, clinics and oncologists to get the word out about Knitted Knockers, but we need the help of our local knit and crochet community to create the much needed and desired, light-weight, soft and squishy Knockers! Santa Clarita Valley Knitted Knockers will teach you how to make Knitted Knockers using the approved yarns and patterns. Please contact us for more information on meeting times and locations, and come join our happy Knocker-making family!

If you aren’t really into knitting or crocheting, we can still use your help! Contact Santa Clarita Valley Knitted Knockers to find out how. And of course, donations are always greatly appreciated!

Lastly, but most importantly, if you would like a Knitted Knocker or two of your own, please contact us! YOU are why we are making this wonderful product, and we want to help you look and feel as beautiful as we know you already are!

Being able to knit for a cause completes me! I lost a very close friend to breast cancer and completed two 60 mile Komen events in Seattle in her name. Westside Wooly Bits
Contact Name: Megan Holley
Address: Beaverton, OR
I'm an avid knitter in the Portland Metro Area. I taught myself how to knit as teenager and have been knitting up a storm ever since. Happy to help out by providing Knitted Knockers to folks on the west coast.
I will admit that my first pair of knockers came from a desire to happily proclaim "Boobs!" whenever asked what I was knitting. But as I finished that first pair, I found that I really enjoyed knitting them and the impact that a simple hand-knit item such as this could have on someone is really touching. I can use my knitting powers for good. Who knew?
My mother also knits. She has joined me in knitting knockers and might be having more fun knitting them than I am. Much love goes into every pair we knit. We are glad to be of service to women in need of Knitted Knockers.

I have a small store and workshop on my ranch. I sell yarn, fiber and wool for spinning, my hand-dyed yarn and handmade items. Several times a year I hold food drives for the local food bank: every can of food makes the giver eligible for one of several door prizes. My husband and I also give tours of the ranch and are very service oriented. We believe in helping the community when we can. I could like to add ‘knitted knockers’ to the small list of things we like to do, such as lap robes for the VA Hospital and food for the food banks. I have several friends that are breast cancer survivors. After Christmas will be a great time for me begin this new project. Thank you for beginning this wonderful program and project.

I am an avid crocheter. I use crocheting as a form of therapy. It helps me unwind. My motto is "Crocheting every day keeps the demons at bay". If I am crocheting every day I cannot think of a better way to spend that time than to make knockers for women who have endured so much. I want to turn my negative energy into something so beautiful and powerful. I have adopted a clinic but I also want to provide to anyone I need of a knocker. Right now I am just an individual crocheting but who knows it may turn into a group as I teach friends and coworkers how to crochet.
