Pinklife is a non-profit organization created by a physiotherapist and onco-psychologist which offers help to women affected with breast cancer during and after the treatment in a non-hospital environment. Their aim is to support, inform, exchange information and offer to the patients and their family tools to go through this difficult time. They organize all kind of support e.g; Soft gym, cooking lessons, providing knitted knockers as well as knitting knockers classes, offering pinkboxes which contain cosmetics which are suitable for women in and after treatment as they are very hard to find and not labeled as such here in Europe. More activities are in the loop. The group exists only since one year and we are already extending our knitted knockers sessions to other cities in Belgium. Our understanding is that we are the first group in Belgium to participate in the knitted knockers program. We are a group of volunteers based in Elbląg and volunteers in Grudziądz, Lelków. We are joining the action as the project “Do Pary 2023”. It consists of knitting, crochet and sewing prostheses for women after mastectomy. The material is 100% cotton, the filling is poly fiber fill.
We work for charity, we have time and skills. We are a group of volunteers who use their hobbies to help those who need our support.
We sew bags for Redon bottles, pillows in the shape of a heart as part of the “Heart from heart” project. If you want to help us, we invite you by knitting, crochet or donating 100% cotton (it must be specific cotton) then welcome.

After Philippa discovered Barbara and knittedknockers.org who right away generously provided some knitted knockers for her Rwandan beneficiaries (they loved them); Philippa asked Barbara if she would consider coming to Rwanda and training a few Knitters who couldn’t read patterns or had no access to technology to watch her training videos. Barbara’s affirmative response continues to have transformational impact not only in Rwanda, but most of East Africa & many parts of the world. Oct 2016, Barbara along with Laureen and JB, visited BCIEA in Kigali, with necessary materials & trained 30 Rwanda women. Video of Barbara, Laureen & JB in Kigali. Since then we have provided over 1,000 made in Rwanda Knitted Knockers to patients in Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda, Congo, Zambia, Malawi & local hospitals and clinics We also trained Susan from Kenya, she went home & trained 15 Kenyan Knitters including men & now Kenya has a group of Knitted Knockers capable of supplying most of the needs in Kenya. BCIEA realized that it’s difficult for people living off a dollar a day to sacrifice either time or money towards the cost of $10 per pair of Knitted Knockers compared to people in USA & elsewhere in higher incomer settings. We are running a Challenge Campaign called: #helpherregainherdignity. By sponsoring life-changing Knitted Knockers the goal is to have global sponsorship covering enough Knitted Knockers so that they are accessible & Free for all women who lose their breasts to cancer! Is this doable? Nelson Mandela said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done”. For those willing to accept BCIEA’s challenge sponsorship donations can be done via the website.

We are thrilled to be a part of the Knitted Knockers global network that offer beautiful knockers to help you to feel comfortable, feminine and confident again. We also hope that as you feel more confident, our Aqua-Knockers will support you to get swimming, sporty or more active moving forward.

Every lady has their own experience with surgery and have a variety of unique results, Knockers are designed to fit every shape and can even help to rebalance while waiting for further surgery, so don’t feel that they may not work for you.
Our knockers are provided for FREE to those requesting to ensure that they are available to everyone, no matter what the circumstances. Our goal is to provide comprehensive support to breast cancer patients and their families during their healing process. Over the years we have become a big family of doctors, patients, relatives and collaborators. As an association we have been growing and creating important alliances abroad, as it is no secret that our country, Venezuela, is in a precarious situation. And it is through our allies the Venezuelan Community in Ireland that we got to know the work of Knitted Knockers. We join this beautiful project with a lot of enthusiasm to be able to collaborate more with patients in our region and in the rest of the country.
